Grants & Help
Companies in the south east with between 5 and 250 employees can apply for £1000 funding to develop their business leadership skills.
Your learning programme can be funded up to a maximum contribution of £1000.
- The first £500 is available for managing directors, owner managers, and company directors and does not need to be matched.
- A further grant of up to £500, which must be matched funded, is available for any senior manager or the management team.
Step 1: Initial eligibility
assessment and appointment
When Skills South East receives your enquiry, their Customer Service Team will
check your details including whether you have benefited from previous funding.
An appointment will be made for you. At the arranged time, a Leadership and
Management Adviser will take you through your application. This could either be
a face-to-face visit to your business premises or with you over the telephone.
Step 2: Support from your Leadership and Management Adviser
After completing a diagnostic of your training and development needs, the
Leadership and Management Adviser will create a Personal Development Plan for
you; and confirm your acceptance into the Leadership and Management Grant
Funding Programme.
They will review with you your business goals, and then work with you to
identify the Leadership and Management skills needed by the leaders of the
business to achieve these goals.
Claiming the grant
The grants, which are exclusive of VAT, must be claimed within 90 days of the
date on your Personal Development Plan.
